how do you remove the writing of a blade?
Specifically, how can remove the article "made in China "by shaving? How I hate my looks different visually pleasing Bowie knives. Ok, let me answer the three response saying to buy american. My issue with two Bowie knives is that they have not made in China, they appear to be well designed, with a keen edge and full tang blade, complete with a solid wood handle with no flaws apparent. Edge, however, is a thing of beauty until you flip it over and see the ugly "China" to fully. Writing can not really feel so I do not know if this is really acid etched, and if not is certainly too deep. Also, I own a Gerber Folding Knife, it does not say where is the edge so does that make it American made?
Take a sheet of 220 emery paper and cut himself a girdle inches wide. Press that place your thumb and pull the paper with your other hand. Go out to match the lines on the grind .... blade and work up to finer and flour ground finer trash you match the original edge. Ebay.com and search for "Sanding testors film" if you can not find local newspapers polishing. You can put a mirror finish on a knife with them.
